14 DAY TRIAL // Lenovo used the MWC 2018 conference in Spain to take the wraps off the company’s latest Windows 10 convertibles, and this year the Yoga 730 and the Yoga 530 are getting most of the love.
Lenovo Yoga 730 will be available in two different versions, with 13-inch and 15-inch screens, and according to the parent company, it’s supposed to bring the premium quality that you typically find on super-expensive devices to more affordable price points.
The series will be available with powerful hardware that includes the latest 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, and the 15-inch configuration can be ordered with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 discrete graphics card.
Going on sale later this year
Both the Yoga 730 and the 530 come with touch support, and while the first uses UHD IPS tech, the ladder sticks with an FHD configuration for lower price.
Lenovo also offers support for the Active Pen 2 with 4,096 levels of sensitivity, available separately, and devices also integrate a fingerprint reader for Windows Hello support.
Interestingly, the Yoga 730 comes with both Cortana and Alexa support, so you’re going to get not one, but two different digital assistants.
“Use Cortana on your Yoga 730 during the day to schedule meetings, get reminders, search and send emails and manage to-do lists with just your voice. Or just ask to order food, do your shopping, dim the lights and turn up the music at night with Alexa on your Yoga 730,” Lenovo says.
Lenovo has also paid particular attention to the portability of its devices, so the 13-inch Yoga 730 tips the scales at only 1.12 kg. The 530, on the other hand, is a little heavier at 1.6 kg, but is 11 percent thinner than its predecessor.
Lenovo Yoga 730 will go on sale in April 2018 and the 13-inch version will be available from €999, while the 15-inch configuration will cost from €1099, both featuring an Active Pen 2. The 530 with a 14-inch screen will hit the shelves in June from €549.
