Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 is just around the corner, and as we're getting close to the start of the event, new information about unannounced devices emerges online.

We reported earlier today about a new tablet that Lenovo might unveil soon, the Tab3 8 Plus, which was recently spotted in a benchmark. However, we now have more information about the slate, as well as a couple of photos that show what the tablet looks like.

Before going into more details, it's worth noting that Lenovo hasn't confirmed whether or not the Tab3 8 Plus will be showcased at MWC 2017. However, since the Chinese company announces a couple of slates each year at the trade fair, we're going to assume that this will happen again next month.

Moving on to the Lenovo Tab3 8 Plus, this is clearly a mid-range tablet that will probably be priced under $300.

As the previous report hinted, the tablet will be equipped with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, coupled with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory, which is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card.

The back side features an 8-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus and LED flash, while in the front there's a secondary 5-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.

According to NotebookItalia, the Tab3 8 Plus will ship with Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system on board, which is quite what we would have liked to see.

The good news is the slate is powered by a 4,250 mAh battery and sports a decent 8-inch display that supports WUXGA (1920 x 1200 pixels) resolution.

The same report mentions Lenovo's Tab3 8 Plus is IP52 certified, so it should be resistant to dust and water splashes. In addition, the slate comes with Dolby Atmos stereo speakers and 3.5mm audio jack port.
