14 DAY TRIAL // Motorola's Moto E series has delivered some affordable and solid smartphones over the past few years, but the future of the line was a bit uncertain after the company was taken over by Lenovo. Still, Motorola executives said that the Moto E line would live on, and it seems that it has, since the newly released Lenovo Vibe C2 is nothing but a 2016 variant of the Moto E.
Lenovo has made the Vibe C2 available on its Russian website, but the company has yet to provide any information on the phone's price or availability. The handset keeps the same design as previous models in the series, and it's available in two color variants, namely black and white. In addition, it weighs 139 grams and measures 143 x 71.4 x 8.5 mm.
Lenovo Vibe C2 comes with a 5-inch display and 720p resolution, as well as MT6735P with quad-core 1.0GHz Cortex-A53 processor, Mali-T720MP2 graphics processing unit, and just 1GB of RAM. In addition, it has 8GB or 16GB of expandable memory to 32GB using a microSD card.
It will also feature Bluetooth 4.0 LE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, and 4G LTE. The smartphone will have dual-SIM support, and the listing shows that the Vibe C2 will boast a built-in amplifier and enhanced technology for audio output.
Lenovo Vibe C2 is expected to come with an 8MP rear camera
Rear camera capacity is set to reach 8MP with LED flash, and the 5MP camera on the front is designed for video calling and selfies, although the capacity isn't really that high. The phone will draw power from a 2,750mAh battery, which should be sufficient, considering that the device sports rather low-end specs.
Aside from all this, the handset should run Android Marshmallow 6.0 out of the box and will most likely come with Lenovo's Vibe UI on top. Since it has just been announced, it won't be long before the smartphone is made available for purchase.
