One of the most popular mid-range phablets launched by Lenovo, the K3 Note might get a successor in no more than a month from now.

The Chinese handset maker teased a new “Killer Note” smartphone that should make its debut in India as early as January 2016.

Although Lenovo did not really name the phone K4 Note as the next smartphone to be launched in India, a new report coming from GizChina claims this is likely to be the phablet the company plans to introduce next month.

There are no details on Lenovo K4 Note's specs yet, but speculations claim the phablet should pack a powerful enough MediaTek Helio X10 chipset inside.

The Helio X10 has become rather standard for mid-range Android smartphones that want to appeal to customers looking for some high-end features. That could be Lenovo K4 Note's main selling point, aside from the affordable price (hopefully).

Helio X10 CPU and fingerprint sensor

Apart from the Helio X10 chipset, Lenovo K4 Note should also pack a fingerprint sensor, which is something that its predecessor, K3 Note was missing.

Design-wise, the upcoming “Killer Note” device coming from Lenovo should feature a brushed metal frame, which should put it in the premium category.

Again, this is another feature that Lenovo K3 Note was missing, so by offering a device made from a higher quality material, the Chinese company hopes to sell even more mid-range phablets next year.

Even though the smartphone will be initially launched in India, there's no doubt that Lenovo will make the K4 Note available to other countries.

While we do have some information regarding availability, as Lenovo India teased a January 2016 release for the “Killer Note,” we know nothing about the phone's price.

However, as we're getting close to launch, more info on specs and possibly price should leak online, so stay tuned.
