Desperados III is heavily inspired by the first game of the franchise and is being developed by Mimimi Games, under the patronage of THQ Nordic.
At the moment, Desperados III is scheduled for launch in Summer 2020 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but an exact release date will probably be announced in the next few months. In Desperados III, you'll be able to command up to five characters, each with their own skills and abilities. Gameplay-wise, Desperados III is a stealth, real-time tactics game in the same vein as Commandos.
We already know the game will feature Isabelle Moreau, a master in the occult techniques of Voodoo, but who are the other playable characters? Today, THQ Nordic revealed Doc McCoy, the legendary bounty hunter, will join Desperados III's roster of playable characters.
Doc McCoy is a sharpshooter, a veteran field medic, and an alchemist. Basically, he can use his custom made Colt Buntline Special to shoot an opponent from far away or he can give an enemy special treatment with his syringe.
His background includes years of studying medicine in England and fighting in the American Civil War. Nowadays he's known in certain circles as someone who gets the job done and doesn't ask too many questions.
Desperados III will allow players to approach each mission with a big variety of different solutions and paths, but for that to happen, you need characters with a wide range of skills. From what we've seen until now, Doc McCoy and Isabelle Moreau do have what it takes to get the job done in different ways if the need arises.
