14 DAY TRIAL // Both Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL are expected to be unveiled on October 6, the same day when Microsoft plans to take the wraps off the Surface Pro 4 and the second-generation Band, but little is known about these new phones as far as official information is concerned.
On the other hand, thanks to unofficial channels and sources from within the company, we already know a lot about both Windows flagships, and thanks to a new screenshot published by Chinese website CoolXAP.com, we might now have the very first screenshot of a Lumia 950 XL.
Basically, what you see here is a screenshot of about a page which allegedly comes from a Lumia 950 XL, the new 5.7-inch flagship that will run Windows 10 Mobile.
3GB of RAM and 1440x2560 pixels resolution
First and foremost, it’s worth noting that according to this screenshot, Lumia 950 XL runs Windows 10 Mobile insider preview build 10547, but everyone expects the device to launch with the stable version. So this could either be a sign that the screenshot isn’t real or that Microsoft (or its partners) is currently testing the new device with the early bits of Windows 10 Mobile.
The latest build of Windows 10 Mobile available to insiders is 10536, so if this screenshot isn’t fake, chances are that this is a newer build that’s not yet available to insiders.
Second of all, the screenshot also confirms some of the specs we’ve already known, such as the 3GB of RAM and the screen resolution of 1440x2560 pixels.
Other details are not available here, but the device will also come with a 5.7-inch display, a 20-megapixel camera on the back with Zeiss optics, a Snapdragon 810 processor, and 32 GB of storage space (a microSD card will also be offered for additional storage).
The battery is expected to be somewhere near 3,000 mAh for what Microsoft hopes to be a full day of autonomy under heavy usage.
