It's unclear when this new watch is going to be launched

Fitbit is reportedly getting ready to release a more affordable smartwatch that’s aimed at female consumers, some leaked images have revealed.

If the images leaked are true, then it seems that Fitbit is finally taking a more aggressive stance, trying to stay ahead of the curve. Although, it feels a little odd when a company that makes pretty much only unisex product suddenly decides that it should make something for women.

Fitbit might have some statistics in this regard, and the company knows that it’s not all that appealing to all of its customers. And, to be completely fair, unless the watches in the leaked images are really small, I wouldn’t mind wearing some of the variants.

A new Fitbit Blaze 2?

The images were leaked via Wearable, but it’s clear what the new watch is. Since Fitbit release Ionic, we didn’t get a replacement for Blaze. The Ionic price doesn’t fall in the same category with Blaze so that we could be getting a second Blaze.

According to a source close to Fitbit that chose to remain anonymous, the new watch is smaller than Ionic, it comes in a variety of colors, and has a design that should be more appealing to the general public. The kicker is that it doesn’t have GPS, which is a really bad decision.

Other cool features include water resistance up to 50 meters and the same SpO2 sense that’s a great tool for sleep apnea. Four different colors will be available, including rose gold, charcoal, black, and silver. And the colors are going to encompass the watch as well, and not just the bracelet.

There is no information on release dates or pricing, but since it’s missing some important features, we have to assume that it’s going to be a lot cheaper that Ionic. We hope to get more details in the coming weeks.
