14 DAY TRIAL // The Old Hunters is the name of the first DLC for the immensely popular Bloodborne action RPG developed by FromSoftware. Details about some of the new things that players will find have already started to leak online, and it looks like we have a winner.
The truth is that almost nothing done by FromSoftware is bad, and there is no reason to believe that the upcoming The Old Hunters DLC will move away from this pattern. In fact, judging by what everything that’s been revealed until now has shown us, the DLC elevated the gameplay to new heights, and it’s going to be a tremendous success.
It’s difficult to keep anything secret anymore. Someone, somewhere, will get ahold of the game and will play it long before the actual launch date. It might seem that the consoles have this problem solved, but that’s not the case. Anyway, some of the details in the following part of the article can be considered a spoiler, so tread carefully.
The Old Hunters is difficult
FromSoftware doesn’t do anything by the book, and the same can be said about The Old Hunters. You just can’t start the DLC content; you will have to meet a few requirements first. In order to start The Old Hunters, you need to have beaten Vicar Amelia, go to Hunter's Dream and get the item right next to the doll. After that, you’ll need to travel to the Cathedral Ward bonfire and move to Amygdala. After you’re grabbed, you’ll start the new DLC. Sounds fun, right?
All of this information has been posted on Reddit by a user who has a review copy of The Old Hunters, and he shared quite a bit. His character is at level 116, and he’s playing on New Game Plus, but it seems to be very difficult. The first boss makes its appearance after about two hours of gameplay.
