Samsung’s next big release is the Galaxy Note 10 due in the summer, and the closer we get to the launch, the more leaks happen to provide us with an early look at its features.

As it’s the case of every Note upgrade, this year’s generation is expected to come with a camera overhaul as well, and according to a recent leak, Samsung might be preparing some less expected changes too.

A photo allegedly showing the Galaxy Note 10 camera module suggests that the South Korean manufacturer might be planning not only technical upgrades, but also a relocation of the camera entirely on the back of the phone.

If on the Note 9 the camera was placed in the middle of the phone, this leak indicates that Samsung could be using an approach a la iPhone X for the upcoming Note 10. This means the cameras could be placed vertically on the left side of the device, just like they are right now on the latest generations iPhones.

Fingerprint sensor embedded into the screen

This change would come with a series of benefits, and the most obvious is that the Galaxy Note 10 could be equipped with a larger battery because the space in the middle of the phone can now be used for other purposes. Obviously, Samsung could also be adding other tech under the hood, and one of them is believed to be an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor that is integrated into the glass.

The reader, which debuted earlier this year on the Galaxy S10, is placed in the lower part of the phone, so Samsung could be committed to more than just one relocation under the hood.

The Note 10 is most likely scheduled to go live in August, so expect more such information to make the rounds in the coming weeks.
