14 DAY TRIAL // Following the launch of Pixel V1 back in July, Indian handset maker Lava Mobiles announced the upcoming availability of Pixel V2.
The new smartphone will be available for purchase in India through all major retailers across the country for Rs 10,750 outright, which is about $160 or €145.
Potential customers will be able to order the Lava Pixel V2 beginning September 15. The smartphone has confirmed to arrive in either Royal Sparkle Black and Icy White color options.
As many of you probably know by now, the Pixel V1 is one of the several Android One smartphones available in India.
The Pixel V2 ships with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box, along with Star OS on top of it.
Dual-SIM support and 8MP front-facing camera with LED flash
Hardware-wise, the affordable Android smartphone is equipped with a 64-bit 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor, a Mali-T720 graphics processing unit and 2GB of RAM.
Also, the handset packs 16GB of storage inside, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card slot.
There's also a 13-megapixel main camera on the back, which features autofocus, dual LED flash, f/2.0 aperture and full HD (1080p) video recording, as well as a secondary 8-megapixel selfie camera in the front, which features 840degree wide-angle lens and LED flash.
Lava Pixel V2 sports a decent 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution and features Asahi Dragontrail Glass coating for extra protection.
Last but not least, the Pixel V2 offers both 4G LTE support and is powered by a 2,500 mAh battery, which has yet to be rated by the manufacturer.
