AMD has just released a new set of drivers for Ryzen customers, and this time, there are good news for Windows 11 users as well.

One of the most important changes is aimed at Microsoft’s desktop operating system, as AMD says it has resolved BSODs happening on some computers. The crashes happened on Windows 11 2022 Update, or version 22H2 – keep in mind, however, that this operating system is currently rolling out to users, so not all devices are running it.

The new version of AMD Ryzen drivers is 4.11.15.342, and its focus has clearly been on resolving issues happening on Windows computers.

Worth knowing, however, is that the new drivers come with several known issues as well:

  • Sometimes custom install fails to upgrade to latest drivers.
  • Text alignment issues may be seen on Russian language.
  • Manual system restart required on Non-English OS after the installation is complete.
  • Uninstall summary log may incorrectly show uninstall status as fail on non-English OS.

Interestingly, despite AMD acknowledging the problems in Windows 11 version 22H2, Microsoft never enabled an upgrade block on devices.

A driver-related issue that enforced an upgrade block hit Windows devices with Intel SST hardware – the problem, however, has already been resolved.

“Intel and Microsoft have found incompatibility issues with certain versions of drivers for Intel Smart Sound Technology (Intel SST) on Intel 11th Gen Core processors and Windows 11. Windows 11 devices with the affected Intel SST driver might receive an error with a blue screen. The affected driver will be named Intel Smart Sound Technology (Intel SST) Audio Controller under System Devices in Device Manager and have the file name IntcAudioBus.sys and a file version of 10.29.0.5152 or 10.30.0.5152. Only devices with both an Intel 11th Gen Core processors and an Intel SST driver version of 10.29.0.5152 or 10.30.0.5152 are affected by this issue,” Microsoft previously said.
