Great news for action-RPG fans, as one of the most underrated titles of all time, Kingdoms of Amalur is coming in about two months from now in a remastered form. Announced a few months ago by THQ Nordic, Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning is scheduled for release on September 8.

For the first time since the game's launch eight years ago, Kingdoms of Amalur will be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game was originally launched on PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.

But that's not the only good news revealed today by THQ Nordic. It looks like we're going to get an expansion in 2021 called Fatesworn. No details about the expansion have been unveiled yet, but if we're allowed to guess, it's likely to be the bridge between the first game and possible sequel.

Fans of the genre will be pleased to know that Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning will be available for just €40 / $40 / £35. However, a different version that will bundle the expansion along with the base game will be up for grabs for €55 / $55 / £48, although the expansion won't be available for download until 2021.

Finally, the Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning Collector’s Edition will be launched for $110 / €110 / £100 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, which includes the full game that boasts more than 50 hours of gameplay plus the following content: a highly-detailed Alyn Shir Figurine (20.8cm tall x 18cm wide x 14.2cm deep), a custom Amalur keychain, five pieces of original in-game artwork, the award-winning game soundtrack composed by Grant Kirkhope, and a high-quality Collector’s Box.

Keep in mind that the Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning will feature improved graphical fidelity, as well as all DLC from the original release. It will probably be one of the biggest open-world RPGs of all time.
