Many of you are probably acquainted with Kim Kardashian's mobile game that was number one app in App Store for a while. Dubbed Kim Kardashian: Hollywood, the title was fully developed by Glu Mobile studio.

At no point did this game crash App Store and definitely not at launch, as Kim Kardashian claimed soon after her game went viral.

However, that might happen with the next game that Glu Mobile plans to launch in the coming months. The well-known mobile games developer and publisher announced a new partnership with another glamorous artist, Taylor Swift.

While this might be considered Swift's first foray into the mobile space, it's not the first time the artist launches a mobile application.

In fact, Taylor Swift won an Emmy award last year with the Amex Unstaged: The Taylor Swift Experience, which was available for both Android and iOS platforms.

The game will be released later this year

According to developers, Taylor Swift will work directly with Glu Mobile for the release of the mobile game, which doesn't have a name yet.

Also, Glu Mobile confirmed the game would be released sometime in late 2016 and promised it would share more details in the coming months.

“Bringing with her over 227 million social followers, I am thrilled to welcome Taylor Swift, an award-winning singer, musician and songwriter, to Glu’s family. We realize that Taylor and her global fan base expect a new and highly differentiated mobile gaming experience.

Glu is equally committed to designing never before seen gameplay elements that utilize Taylor’s unique creativity. Accordingly, we will spend the required development time to ensure this innovation is achieved,” said Niccolo de Masi, Glu Chairman and CEO.

It looks like Glu Mobile is cashing in on artists' popularity, having already released similar mobile games for other famous artists like Jason Statham, Britney Spears, Nicki Minaj, as well as Kendall and Kylie Jenner.
