Breaking Ground, the second major DLC for the incredibly fun end educations sim Kerbal Space Program is set to arrive on May 30th, for PC.

Who could have guessed that a simulation of a space program would garner such a massive fan base across the world? But it did, and people have created some amazing projects with this game, far beyond what the developers ever envisioned.

Kerbal Space Program is not just a simple sim; it’s a game that takes into account numerous real aspects of space travel, making it rather grounded. It’s not about glorious space battles, or about defeating enemies, it’s about the dream of going to space, the right way.

New challenges

Kerbal Space Program: Breaking Ground DLC comes with a ton of new content that includes fresh and equipment used in various space experiments, robotic components for space stations.

Furthermore, the latest DLC also brings meteorites into the gameplay and new surfaces for planets, along with mineral formations and craters that are just waiting to be explored by the Kerbal teams.

“Study the soaring plume of a cryovolcano on Vall, mysterious craters on Moho, and even more new features on all of the other moons and planets of the Solar System. Deploy experiments for the long-term study of Minmus and let them collect data while you explore further sights. Test your creativity with a new suite of robotics parts. Breaking Ground will help you and the Kerbals reach new horizons, all in the name of Science!” say the developers.

To top things off with even better news, the studio announced that everyone that bought Kerbal Space Program before April 2013 would receive the new DLC for free, as promised. Everyone else will have to pay $14.99 for the content.
