Gigi has been dating Nick’s brother Joe Jonas for a few months, so she introduced Kendall to Nick with one idea in mind: to see if she could get them to date, Us Magazine reports. Mission accomplished.
Kendall and Nick are an item, not going public just yet
According to the report, which cites sources close to Kendall, Gigi came up with the idea to set these 2 up because she wanted to spend as much time as possible with her good friend.
Kendall and Gigi are part of what is known as the “Instagram generation of models,” i.e. models who work for established fashion houses and are in very high demand, whose ascension to the top was facilitated by social media.
They are also good friends and are always hanging out. If this report is accurate, Gigi wanted to spend even more time with Kendall. Her plan worked - but don’t expect to see them putting on PDAs just yet.
“They had a flirty chemistry from the start,” says a spy. “Nick was single and looking to date and there was an obvious attraction. He absolutely thinks she’s hot. When they're ready and it turns official, we’ll start seeing photos.”
If you’re thinking of betting on social media as the likeliest venue for these photos to debut, you’re onto something.
Kendall, the black sheep in the family
We mean that it in the best way possible, by the way. Kendall Jenner has managed to do what her sisters have been trying for years, in very little time: she’s breaking free from her image in reality television.
She still appears on her family’s reality shows, but at the same time, she’s making a solid name for herself as a fashion model by walking for the biggest houses out there. When she announced her decision to give modeling a go for a career, she was widely ridiculed, especially online.
She would later say that she had to “work harder” than regular aspiring models because she had to prove to the world she’d gotten the jobs on her own, not because of her family connections.
People still believe it was brother-in-law Kanye West who got her her modeling career, but that’s in the past now: with every new major gig she lands, Kendall becomes more of a model and less of a reality star.
