Kate Hudson has one of the best bodies in showbiz, and her recent red carpet appearances can vouch for that. She’s also talented and fun, smart and kind, and probably many other things that the world doesn’t know about. In short, she’s definitely a catch.

According to many reports online, Kate, who has been single since her December 2014 split from Matthew Bellamy, is now hooking up with Nick Jonas.

Kate and Nick are hooking up, not dating yet

At 23, Nick is Kate’s junior by 13 years, an age gap that would probably make few bat an eyelid if the older person was a man and the younger one a woman. Because the situation is reversed, Kate is now getting pegged the label “cougar,” even though, at 36, she hardly fits the bill.

The two were spotted the first time together this weekend, when they visited Disney World in Orlando. As you can see from the photo available in the tweet below, Nick did his best to go incognito but had little success in this sense.

TMZ reports that the Disney trip came after Kate had stopped by Nick’s show in Orlando. They probably knew each other from before, as Nick and Kate’s brother Oliver star together on the new Fox show “Scream Queens.”

The next day, the two had brunch in Miami, which adds weight to speculation that there’s something more than friendship happening there.

TMZ is certain that this is the case: “The people we spoke with who know them say they’re not dating, but they’ve absolutely hooked up.”

So there’s a 50-50 chance we will see them together hand in hand on a red carpet.

Single and ready to mingle

As noted above, since her split from Bellamy, which followed a protracted engagement and rumors that she was getting cold feet, Kate has not stepped out in public with any other love interest. There’s been some talk that she might be dating Dancing With the Stars pro Derek Hough, but nothing came out of it.

As it happens, Nick is also single (and ready to mingle). He recently split from former Miss Universe winner Olivia Culpo after a two-year relationship, so chances are he’s not even looking for something more serious right now.
