Indian OEM Karbonn has just introduced another affordable Android smartphone in the country, which is not an unusual thing since the company releases new products each month.

However, Karbonn's new smartphone comes with totally unimpressive specs even for an entry-level device. On top of that, it's been slightly overpriced, so we don't expect it to be too popular among Android fans.

According to a new report, Karbonn Titanium Moghul is now available for purchase in India for RS 5,790 ($85 / €80) outright. Even though the smartphone has been priced below $100, it's still too expensive for what it has to offer regarding specs.

First of all, the Titanium Moghul ships with Android 4.4 KitKat operating system right out of the box, which is unacceptable even for a low-end smartphone.

Furthermore, the handset has been confirmed to sport a 5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports qHD (540 x 960 pixels) resolution and features Dragontrail Glass coating.

Don't expect a Marshmallow upgrade in the future

At the back, Karbonn Titanium Moghul packs an 8-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and video recording while in the front there's a secondary 3.2-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.

Hardware-wise, Karbonn's smartphone is even less appealing, as the device comes equipped with a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, probably provided by MediaTek, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory.

Luckily, the smartphone includes microSD card slot, so users can expand storage up to 32GB. Naturally, there's no 4G LTE support, but Titanium Moghul offers other connectivity options like 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB 2.0 and GPS with AGPS support.

Dual-SIM and FM Radio features are available as well. Last but not least, Karbonn states that Titanium Moghul is powered by a 2,000 mAh battery, which hasn't been rated for standby and talk time yet.
