There’s no rush to finish it, so no release date yet

Here’s today’s dose of random: Martha Stewart just interviewed Justin Bieber for the latest issue of Interview Magazine, which also brings what could be described as a “racy(er)” spread with the former heartthrob.

You can see some of the photos in the gallery below, with the rest available at the link. In the interview, The Biebs talks about his hobbies, his current status (he’s single, girls!), shooting to international fame and, of course, his upcoming material, which he’s recording right now.

No rush to put the album out

Speaking of his album, Justin says he’s under no pressure to complete it and get it out. Considering the months of negative media attention and the months following when he tried to convince everybody that he’s grown up and wiser for having learned from his mistakes, this makes sense: he wants to take his time to deliver quality music to the fans and especially to his haters.

Justin Bieber is trying really hard to distance himself from his teen superstar image and to emerge as an adult artist, and for that to happen, he needs to come out with good music, music that will be both praised by critics and popular with the fans.

He seems to have gotten the right collaborators to make that happen.

“I'm working a lot with Skrillex and Diplo and this guy named Poo Bear, who's an incredible writer. We've just been getting our groove,” he explains. “You kind of go through a period where you're in there and nothing comes and nothing comes, and then, finally, it's like bang-bang-bang - you get them all in a row. I'm at a place where I'm really happy and I'm ready to share my music.”

He believes he will be heading to Ibiza this summer on vacation and to get some “inspiration” for the material. Meanwhile, Skrillex is experimenting with a more “futuristic” sound with the notes Bieber delivers.

When the album is done, it will be his most personal work yet. Justin has always bragged of making personal music, but this time, it will be like welcoming the world into his life and into his heart.

Justin Bieber is smart, a businessman

In the same interview, Martha gets The Biebs to open up on his love life, saying he’s very much the type of guy who would cook breakfast for his girlfriend. Since he doesn’t have one, he does it for his little brother.

Justin also reveals that he owns a piece of West Coast Customs, which keeps his cars on display when he’s not using them, that he owns a boat but no private jet (yet), that he is investing into techy stuff because he’s “into technology” and that he still credits Michael Jackson as his biggest role model and inspiration.

He also brags about graduating high-school with a 4.0 GPA, stressing that he’s no drop-out. Justin was home-schooled, but celebrity pundits question whether he really graduated with the highest grade possible since he obviously has no idea what the “sixteen” Chapel is and uses the genitive like this: “someone close to me’s daughter follows me.”
