14 DAY TRIAL // It seems that the Just Cause movie that's currently in the development process will be based on the actual story of the third title in the franchise, which is also being created by the team at Avalanche Studios.
Adrian Askarieh, who is the producer working on the project, tells IGN that he wants to focus on the fact that Rico is returning to Medici, where he was brought up and where his family was murdered.
He adds, "That to me is a cool story and the whole concept of a guy who is sent in to discombobulate from within and to create chaos from within. And in terms of action, I think Just Cause has just as much right to be called an action movie as The Fast and Furious. They're both outlandish. You have a car going through 400 skyscrapers - well not 400, two. That's kind of a Just Cause action."
The producer also claims that the first two titles in the series failed to have a clear narrative thread and would not be solid enough to sustain a movie experience.
The producer also says that the filming process for the Just Cause movie is getting nearer, and it appears that the biggest obstacle at the moment is the required budget.
He also handled the Hitman: Agent 47 movie, which opened to negative reviews, and it seems that there's long-term interest in creating a universe that combines that title with Just Case and, maybe, even Deus Ex.
Just Cause 3 is coming on December 1
The video game is being created by series stalwarts Avalanche Studios and will be offered on the PC, the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4.
Rico will have to use all his skills to destroy the dictator that has subdued his homeland in the Mediterranean sea and wants to try and dominate the whole region.
Both the grappling hook and the parachute will get improved mechanics, offering gamers more options when it comes to moving across the environment, and everyone will also get access to a wingsuit that makes it easy to simply fly to get to a new location.
Rico will also be able to use a wider variety of vehicles, planes and weapons in his quest to cause as much chaos and destruction as possible around him.
