This is an unofficial mod, but supported by Avalanche

Just Cause 3 doesn’t have multiplayer, but this aspect is getting corrected by the community, which is working on a dedicated mod.

When Avalanche Studios announced that Just Cause 3 would not have a multiplayer, a lot of people were disappointed, but the developers wanted to focus more on the single-player part. It wasn’t really all that surprising since neither of the previous two games had multiplayer.

The good news is that the same team that worked on a multiplayer mod for Just Cause 2 is now doing the same for Just Cause 3. This is really interesting since the work they did for the previous games was so good that Avalanche Studios picked it up and helped them publish it on Steam as an official mod.

Just Cause 3 is getting multiplayer

It will take a while until the multiplayer mod is ready, and if the past is any indication, it will go through a number of Beta tests before it gets even close to being ready.

“As we make our way into the New Year we wanted to take a moment to show off a little somethin’ somethin’ we’ve been working on! Introducing JC3-MP! We’re incredibly excited to show off the progress we’ve made these last few weeks. Moving forward you can expect frequent updates on our progress along with exciting new developments as they happen. From all of us on the Just Cause Multiplayer team, we’d like to wish you all a Happy New Year!” developers wrote on the official website.

There is no official launch date and no indication on when we’re going to have something to test, but the response from the community has been great, and they won’t have any problems finding volunteers for the testing procedures.

Check out the video below to see some of the progress they have made so far.
