She’s back! As promised last month, 2015 will be the year when Janet Jackson’s longtime and loyal fans will finally get to listen to new music from their idol. Janet is gearing for the release of a new album, which she’ll promote with a tour as well.

And now we have the first single off it: it’s a steamy R&B ballad called “No Sleep,” just perfect for the long summer nights and restless lovers.

Because this is a song written for the lovers, Janet dedicated it to “My Love” when she announced its release on Twitter. Her “love” is, of course, Wissam Al Mana, the millionaire she married in 2012 and with whom she’s been leading a very happy life out of the spotlight for all this time.

“No Sleep” is produced by Janet’s longtime producers and friends Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, and will be included on her next album, which may or may not be called “Conversations in a Café.”

The material will be released through her own label, Rhythm Nation Records, and will be her first studio material since “Discipline,” which came out in 2008.

The tour to support the album is called “Unbreakable” and kicks off on August 31 in Vancouver. Chances are the album will be out by then.
