The application can't be downloaded via Google Play Store

The Islamic State has been recruiting followers using its al-Bayan radio that is broadcasting the group's propaganda 24/7.

The radio station was available online via links that were distributed in the same way as APK files, but with the release of the Android application, the group will be able to pass these links much easier.

The folks over at Vocative have discovered the application, which is now distributed by ISIS' supporters on social media and the group's forums.

The Android application is not available for download via Google Play Store, but it can be downloaded in its APK form, and installed on any supported Android device.

For obvious reasons, we don't expect ISIS' propaganda Android app ever to be listed on Google Play store, unless a mistake is made.

“The launching of an app for al-Bayan radio is an amazing project. We (used to) chase links for the radio but now it’s in our hands at every moment,” a loyalist wrote on Twitter.

The account that announced the availability of the application has since been suspended by Twitter, so we can't verify the accuracy of the information anymore.

ISIS' terror spreads through an Android application now

The Android application provides users with links to ISIS' radio station that targets European recruits. The radio station is also often used to claim responsibility for terrorist attacks.

The source of the finding also claims the station uses FM frequencies and can be tuned into from Syria, Iraq and Libya, information that has been confirmed by ISIS in its weekly magazine a months ago.

Now instead of passing links with its radio station, ISIS followers will be given links to an Android application they will be able to install on their devices. The radio station links will now be provided directly through the Android application.
