14 DAY TRIAL // Long-time Windows users certainly remember IrfanView as one of the most advanced image viewers on Microsoft’s operating system, and despite being around for so many years, it continues to be a top choice for lots of users.
Earlier this week, Irfanview received the very first update of the year, bringing the app to version 4.53.

As compared to the traditional image viewer in Windows, Photos comes with editing options too, and Microsoft is adding more with every new feature update for Windows 10.
But at the same time, Photos is one major resource hog on a growing number of Windows 10 devices, and despite being offered as a native solution, it’s actually using much more memory than it should.
This makes IrfanView a top replacement, especially as it remains very light on system resources, despite the more and more new features being added with updates like the one today.
