Apple has officially launched the new-generation iPhone, with customers in a total of 30 countries now allowed to purchase the device from Apple Stores and authorized resellers.

Both iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max went on pre-order on September 14, and now Apple starts shipping the devices to customers in the United States.

Shipments in other countries, like New Zealand, has already started, and customers are getting the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max as we speak.

The first 30 countries where the new-generation iPhones are launched are the following: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UAE, UK, Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, Taiwan, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, US and US Virgin Islands.

Next Friday, on September 27, Apple will launch the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max in 29 additional countries, namely Andorra, Armenia, Bahrain, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Greece, Greenland, Hungary, Iceland, India, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Malta, Monaco, Oman, Poland, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa.

iPhone XS pricing

Pricing in all these countries will vary depending on currency and local taxes, but in the United States, the starting price for the base iPhone XS model is $999. The top-of-the-range iPhone XS Max with 512GB storage costs $1,449.

However, it’s not a secret that in Europe the device is going to be substantially more expensive due to the taxes here, and with additional services and accessories, like Apple Care and cases, the top iPhone XS Max gets painfully close to the 2,000 Euros milestone.

All Apple Stores have the new iPhones in stock, so even if you didn’t pre-order the device on September 21, there’s a chance that enough units are available for walk-in customers as well.

The waiting time online has increased to 3-4 weeks at the Apple Store, but as it typically happens with every new iPhone launch, there’s a good chance that Apple reduces it substantially very soon.
