Apple’s unveil of the iPhone 8 will mark one of the biggest smartphone announcements of this year, as the company is expected to have adopted a major change in the design of the iPhone and equipped it with an OLED display.

A new video by YouTuber DailyTekk reveals how the phone could look with an edge-to-edge OLED screen and stunningly thin bezels. Rumors say that bezels surrounding the iPhone 8 could be just 4mm thin, thus making the smartphone sleeker than Samsung’s latest flagship, the Galaxy S8.

The video shows a display that covers the front panel almost completely and eliminates even the top and bottom bezels. Apple is known to have ditched the home button on the upcoming iPhone to make way for a functional area that would house capacity buttons for navigation.

The video also shows a comparison between the Galaxy S8 and Apple iPhone 8, revealing that the latter could be wider than Samsung's flagship.

The video shows how images displayed on the screen would stretch all the way up and around the ear speaker, but there’s little chance of that actually happening. Still, the iPhone 8 is expected to be a game-changer and employ design changes that Apple fans have been waiting for quite some time now.

Reports have shown that sales of iPhone 7 weren’t satisfactory, partly because Apple broke its tradition of bringing design changes to its iPhone lineup every two years. Some customers are actually holding off their purchase, waiting for the iPhone 8 to be announced.

Aside from the 5.8-inch OLED display, the iPhone 8 should also come with a Touch ID built underneath the display, a vertical dual-camera setup on the back, faster A11 processor, and glass body.

Wireless charging will also be provided inside the new phone, which is expected to be announced together with the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus, upgraded variants of last year’s models. A recent report stated that Apple could preview the iPhone 8 during its WWDC event next month, but that remains to be seen.
