14 DAY TRIAL // Rumor has it that Apple is planning to replace the famous Space Gray version of the iPhone with a new color dubbed “Deep Blue,” and although the company hasn’t yet dropped any hints that such a change is planned, people close to the matter claim that it’s going to happen with the iPhone 7 in September.
Designer Martin Hajek, who has already provided us with several state-of-the-art concepts for Apple products, has created a new one to imagine what a Deep Blue version of the iPhone 7 could look like.
Leaving his design skills aside, the result looks absolutely brilliant, and we’re pretty sure that Deep Blue could become one of the best-selling versions of the iPhone if Apple decides to introduce it.
Furthermore, the concept includes all the previous speculation regarding the iPhone 7, among which the redesigned back, with the antenna lines moved at the top and the bottom, and the camera now closer to the corner of the phone. Furthermore, the camera cutout is larger on the 4.7-inch model while the Plus version gets an eagerly anticipated dual-camera system.
No audio jack
And last but not least, there’s also the audio jack upgrade that has the 3.5mm connector removed. Apple is believed to be planning an important change in this regard, going for an all-purpose Lightning connector that would take care of everything, including data transfers and audio playback.
The company could thus offer wireless headphones with the iPhone 7 or a Lightning connector while others indicate that an adapter could also be sold separately in order to allow users to connect their standard 3.5mm audio headphones.
Certainly, there are a lot of unknown details at the moment, but with a little luck, more could be disclosed later today, when Apple kicks off the WWDC 2016 developer conference. Sources have told us that this would be a software-only event, but who knows, maybe Apple is finally ready to drop some hints regarding its next-generation iPhones coming in September.
