The first iPhone clones went live in China, it seems

Apple is yet to announce the new-generation iPhones, but the changes that have made the rounds several times lately through unofficial channels have already caught the attention of pretty much everybody.

Including Chinese companies that are trying to benefit from the popularity of the iPhone in the local market, that is.

According to a video published by Amazing Unboxing (via MacRumors), iPhone 14 Pro clones are already available in China, obviously running Android.

But at first glance, the replicas are pretty close to the real deal (of course, if the iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max indeed end up looking just like in the renders that have reached the web lately).

Similar, yet not genuine, iPhone 14 Pro experience

One of the most interesting tidbits is that these Android device makers have also copied the pill and hole punch cutouts that are expected to go live on the iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro – Apple is expected to give up on the notch and embrace this more modern approach, so the Android clones also come with a similar design.

The iOS replica is the one that looks amazingly similar to the Apple operating system, especially because it comes with the same icons, widgets, and so on. Even the punch-hole integration appears to be very smooth, so it’s very clear these Android device makers have really wanted to build an advanced clone for the iPhone 14 Pro.

Apple is projected to announce its new models on September 7, and as per the company’s typical schedule, the first units should start shipping to customers on September 16. This means we should learn more about the genuine iPhone 14 Pro experience in approximately a couple of weeks when the first customers receive the new devices.
