Digital artwork envisions the new iPhone design

Apple is projected to launch new iPhones in just a few weeks, and while the company has remained completely tight-lipped on their design, we’ve heard on several occasions that one of the big changes this year could be a possible return to an iPhone 4-inspired look.

More specifically, the new iPhones could look more like the iPhone 4, with straight edges instead of a curved design.

And new renderings published by Svetapple provide us with a closer look at this new iPhone design, again suggesting that the device could be available in multiple colors.

Four new iPhones launching this year

As compared to the 2019 generation when Apple launched just three iPhones, 2020 will bring us four different models, including an all-new device with a 5.4-inch display.

All new iPhones launching in the fall will feature 5G support, something that Apple sees as a priority going forward, especially given the rapid adoption of the new technology across the world.

On the other hand, offering 5G on the entire lineup is causing particular challenges for the Cupertino-based company, as it tries to maintain its profit margin despite this new addition. And one way to do this could be pulling the charger from the box, which means that the new iPhones could actually come without a charger.

Needless to say, the charger would be sold separately, but Apple will also allow those who already own an iPhone to use their existing adapters. Whether or not this will be received well by the community is something that remains to be seen.

According to people familiar with the matter, Apple could move the iPhone unveiling event from September to October due to several production struggles, some of which have been caused by the global health issue.
