Both the iPhone 12 and the iPhone 12 Pro are projected to start shipping on Friday, but thanks to videos coming from China, we can already get more information on what exactly to expect when the smartphones land at our doors.

And the latest to be revealed is the battery information.

As it turns out, the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro come with the same battery unit, which somehow makes sense given the two devices come with a 6.1-inch display.

On the other hand, the iPhone 12 Pro feature upgraded capabilities, including a battery camera, so theoretically, the iPhone 12 should last longer per charge.

But according to the video you can see below, both models come with a 2,815 mAh battery, so once again, Apple most likely relied on heavy software optimizations to improve the autonomy.

According to information that has surfaced in the last few months, the iPhone 12 mini is expected to come with a 2,227 mAh battery, which should be enough to get you through the day. On the other hand, the iPhone 12 Pro Max is expected to boast a 3,687 mAh battery, which obviously makes sense given it comes with a larger screen.

iPhone 12 sales

Apple itself no longer reveals the battery specs, though the company does estimate the autonomy of each device.

The iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro are projected to ship on Friday, while the iPhone 12 mini and the iPhone 12 Pro Max are scheduled to launch next month. According to people close to the matter, the Cupertino-based tech giant expects the iPhone 12 and the iPhone 12 Pro to spearhead sales of the new 2020 generation, despite the mini actually coming with the lower price.

Needless to say, the iPhone 12 Pro Max will account for the smallest share of iPhone 12 sales.
