UPDATE, September 18, 2019: According to official TENAA filings, all iPhone 11 models come with 4GB RAM. Original story below.

Apple took the wraps off the iPhone 11 lineup on September 10, and while the company revealed all the bells and whistles of the three models included in this generation, it also missed some details that many people are super-interested in.

The most important are the RAM and battery specifications of the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max, as such details could help us determine just how much the new devices have improved versus the previous models.

While Apple did provide some estimates during the show, explaining that the new iPhones come with substantially improved battery life when compared to the iPhone XS lineup, the technical specifications should help us get the full picture in this regard.

So let’s start with the iPhone 11 and then scroll down to see how it compares to the iPhone XR.

The first thing you need to know is that the iPhone XR comes with 4 GB RAM, and this is a welcome upgrade from 3 GB RAM on its predecessor.

The same storage versions are available, namely 64 GB, 128 GB, and 256 GB, and 4 GB RAM is offered regardless of the configuration you choose.

When it comes to the battery, iPhone 11 ships with a 3,110 mAh unit, up from 2942 mAh on the iPhone XR. So leaving aside what Apple says, the new model should theoretically really provide improved battery life.

Now let’s have a look at the iPhone 11 Pro, which is the replacement of the iPhone XS.

A RAM increase took place on this model as well, and it’s actually awkward not to hear Apple bragging about it. iPhone 11 Pro comes with 6 GB, the highest amount Apple has ever used on its smartphones. iPhone XS featured just 4 GB.

The battery has also increased from 2658 mAh on the iPhone XS to 3190 mAh on the iPhone 11 Pro.

Apple has fine-tuned the iPhone 11 Pro Max in these two areas, so the new model comes with 6 GB RAM as well, just like its smaller sibling. Previously, the iPhone XS Max was offered with just 4 GB RAM.

The battery on the iPhone 11 Pro Max boasts a 3,500 mAh capacity, and this is without a doubt good news given the iPhone XS Max featured only 3,174 mAh. With 18W fast battery charging, the device should reach some 50% in approximately 30 minutes, according to official specs.
