iPad fans rejoice, a new report claims Apple will soon unveil two brand-new iPad models as soon as this spring during an event that the could be held in March.

French blog Consomac (via 9to5mac) reports that Apple has registered earlier this week several new entries in the Eurasian Economic Commission database about some devices that use encryption, as required by the law, suggesting that the company may release two new iPad models soon.

The two devices registered by Apple in the Eurasian Economic Commission database are identified as models A1893 and A1954, and are apparently described as tablets running the iOS 11 mobile operating system. There's no specific info that they are iPads, but what else could they be, right?

The new iPad devices might use iPhone X's Face ID technology

Last year in March, Apple launched the 9.7-inch iPad, so we can only think that the company will soon unveil new models, which will be running the upcoming iOS 11.3 mobile operating system with its enhanced AR (Augmented Reality) experience and other improvements.

We also hope the new iPads to use iPhone X's Face ID facial recognition technology, though Apple's filling in the Eurasian Economic Commission database suggests the company is prepared to announce the devices this spring, and previous reports suggested iPads with Face ID are coming later this year.

If there won't be Face ID support, at least there will be upgraded components to make the iPad faster than ever. We'll have to wait and see, but rest assured that if you are in the market for a new iPad, newer models are coming soon, running iOS 11, which Apple calls a giant step for iPhone and a monumental leap for iPad.

If Apple doesn't announce anything this spring, it will definitely unveil something in June at WWDC 2018, where the company reveals all the new features of its upcoming iOS 12, macOS 10.14, tvOS 12, and watchOS 5 operating systems. Until then, we're waiting for the semi-major iOS 11.3 software update.
