A new version of iOS 15 is now up for grabs

Apple continues the testing program for the upcoming iOS 15 with a new release, once again specifically aimed at developers who are registered for this effort.

iOS 15 beta 5 is therefore available for download today, so if your iPhone is configured to receive beta builds, just make sure that you check for updates as soon as possible. The new build number that is being served today is 19A5318f and is currently available exclusively for developers.

Needless to say, Apple hasn’t yet provided a changelog, so we don’t know what’s been refined in this release, but expect iOS 15 to be slightly more refined, with many of the issues reported before likely to be resolved. Of course, users themselves will find out more information about this new release as they install the update on their devices.

iOS 15 due in the fall

Just like all the other major iOS updates, the upcoming iOS 15 is due to see daylight in September, and it’ll support the iPhone 6s and newer.

Just as expected, it’ll come with plenty of goodies, including SharePlay, Focus mode, better notifications and so much more.

“iOS 15 helps users stay connected while sharing experiences in real time, gives them new tools to help reduce distraction and find focus, uses intelligence to enhance the photos experience, and, with huge upgrades to Maps, brings new ways to explore the world. We can’t wait for customers to experience it,” Craig Federighi, Apple’s senior vice president of Software Engineering, said earlier this summer when Apple officially introduced the operating system update for developers at the WWDC conference.

iOS 15 will power the new-generation iPhone 13 due in September out of the box and will be released alongside the new models during the typical fall event projected to take place next month.
