Honor is expected to unveil a new smartphone this month, specifically the Honor 6X. Specs of the upcoming smartphone have been leaking for some time now, and it seems that the manufacturing company has already started sending out invites to the unveiling event.

Playfuldroid reported that the Honor 6X could come on October 18. The invite doesn’t disclose any more details about the upcoming mid-range smartphone, but the Honor 6X was recently spotted on TENNA and some of its specs were revealed.

The smartphone will apparently feature a 5.5-inch display with 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution and 3GB of RAM, which is quite satisfactory for a mid-range device. In addition, the Honor 6X might also run a Kirin 950 SoC chipset and 3GB of RAM.

It is said to sport a dual-camera setup on the back with 12MP capacity and a 2MP selfie snapper in the front. The phone will be drawing power from a 3,340mAh battery and it will also have a fingerprint scanner on the back.

Moreover, the phone could also have USB Type-C ports and come with 4G LTE support, and its price might reach about $200. Leaked images have shown that the upcoming smartphone manufactured by Huawei’s subdivision might also have a full metal body.

Honor 6X might run Android Marshmallow and EMUI on top

Only 8 days are left until the smartphone is announced and judging by the specs, it might have some improvements over its predecessor. Honor 5X had a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with fullHD support and a 3,000mAh battery.

The smartphone ran a 64-bit 1.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, together with Adreno 405 GPU. It had 2GB or 3GB of RAM and a 13MP camera on the back, with 5MP in the front. The phone ran Android 5.1 Lollipop, but Honor 6X will most likely come with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and Emotion UI on top.
