Indian handset makers are less known for their smartphones targeting fashionistas or women, but lately there have been quite a few launches in this category as well.

Today, Intex Technologies is the company that brings to the market a “glamorous” smartphone aimed at women in India who wish to carry a stylish but not that expensive handset.

According to a new report, the Intex Aqua Glam has been recently made available in India, where customers can purchase it for only Rs 7,690 ($115 / €100) outright.

The new smartphone is available in Pink and Champagne color options and it features several Swarovski Crystals on both edges.

It also comes with the MakeUp application, which is supposed to offer makeup simulation and makeover effects to women who use the smartphone. In addition, the Aqua Glam is preloaded with Sanjeev Kapoor recipes, Mediation, and Sashakt applications.

It packs an 8-megapixel front camera for state-of-the-art selfies

Moving on to specs, Intex Aqua Glam is quite decent, as it sports a 4.7-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution.

On the inside, the Aqua Glam is equipped with a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6580 processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card slot.

There's also an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, which features autofocus, dual LED flash and video recording, while in the front there's a secondary 8-megapixel camera for great selfies and video calls.

Intex Aqua Glam is powered by a 1,850 mAh battery and ships with the Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box. It offers dual-SIM and 3G HSPA+ support, along with other connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS with AGPS, and microUSB 2.0.

“Stylish design and valiant features always go hand in hand at Intex. With the specially designed Aqua Glam, we are targeting the urban woman of today and leveraging the opportunity to empower her with a device that is handy and its practical features help strike a work-life balance,” said Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, Mobile Business Head, Intex Technologies.
