These cheap devices target customers who can't afford to pay for Microsoft's Surface or a high-end tablet launched by Samsung, LG or any other well-known company.
If you are one of those customers, then here is a piece of hardware that might get your attention. Chinese OEM Chuwi is trying to provide Windows 10 fans with a cheap solution in the form of an ultrabook tablet called Vi10.
Chuwi Vi10 ships with Windows 10 operating system right out of the box, but doesn't come with Microsoft's Office package, so you will have to install that yourself.
When it comes to specs, the Vi10 isn't that impressive at all, but it might be worth the shot considering it only costs around $150.
First of all, Chuwi Vi10 is powered by a 64-bit 1.44GH quad-core Intel Cherry Trail Z8300 CPU, which is complemented by an Intel HD Graphic (Gen8) processor, as well as 2GB of RAM. It only packs 32GB of storage, but users can expand internal memory up to 128GB via TF card.
It can be connected to a keyboard
As the title says, the Vi10 sports a larger 10.6-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports 1366 x 768 pixels resolution, which should be enough to provide a good entertainment experience when watching videos and browsing the Web.
The ultrabook tablet comes with HDMI output, USB port (OTG function), Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0. You can also connect it to a keyboard, which is sold separately.
Also, the Vi10 is powered by an 8,000 mAh battery that “can meet the current, power and the temperature and increase the performance dynamically,” whatever that means. It should provide around 7 hours of video playing time, Chuwi claims.
If the tablet caught your eye, then you should know that Chuwi Vi10 is now available for purchase at Chinese retailer GearBest for $150. It's worth mentioning that shipping is free to anywhere in the world, but you will still have to pay customs fees.
