If you’re based in the United States and plan to upgrade to Windows 10, there’s no better timing to do that than sometime this month because Microsoft’s offering some pretty big prizes to those who move from Windows 7 or 8.1 to its new operating system.

As part of a contest that takes place ahead of the opening of Microsoft’s flagship New York Store on 5th Avenue, the company is offering Windows upgraders the chance to win some pretty awesome prizes, including tickets for two at this eagerly anticipated moment and at the concert that takes place after that, but also several Microsoft devices, including Surface Pro 3 tablets, Xbox One consoles, and Bands.

The company is offering a round trip airfare for two to New York, hotel accommodations for two nights, front-line access at the opening of the store, VIP concert tickets, and its latest hardware.

How to enter the contest

This probably sounds incredible for many Microsoft users, and since the Windows 10 upgrade was already on the table, why not enter a contest that can bring you great prizes?

To enter the contest, you need to upgrade to Windows 10 from Windows 7 or 8.1, register on the official site of the sweepstake, live in the United States, and be 18 or older. You need to complete the upgrade by September 30, and for additional chances to win the grand prize, you can also share the contest on Facebook and Twitter using the links of the aforementioned page.

The best part of this is that upgrading to Windows 10 from Windows 7 or 8.1 doesn’t cost a single cent, so you basically have nothing more to do than install the new operating system and register for the contest. Assuming that you complete installation of the OS successfully, 5 minutes is all you need to enter the race for the grand prize.
