Instagram has updated its Android app to version 10.7.0 and included a new feature that allows users to showcase multiple pictures in one post. The feature is currently under testing and seems to have reached only a few Instagram users.

Advertisers on Instagram are offered a feature that allows them to share multiple pictures in a post and it seems that the same functionality could arrive for regular users as well. The latest Android version of Instagram 10.7.0 includes a tool for showcasing multiple images in a single post, according to Droid Life.

Instagram is currently testing the new feature, and when it's finally made available, users will be able to choose up to 10 pictures from their galleries, add filters, and upload them as an album on the timeline. Followers will be able to see the album, like individual pictures, and view them in a slideshow.

The new feature is currently in the testing phase

Currently, Instagram users can select pictures from their galleries and place them in an album, but the images won’t be posted on the timeline. The feature will allow users to share entire albums with pictures from their trip or recent family reunion, for example.

The feature wasn’t officially announced yet, Instagram is expected to make a formal announcement when the testing phase completes and it’s unclear when that will actually occur.

Just last week, Instagram announced the new Live Stories feature, which allows users to create live videos and share them with followers. The feature will let users watch real-time videos or start a broadcast by simply swiping right from their feed. They can also see which live stories are broadcasting right now and check the ones that have the most viewers. The feature was released last week and Instagram predicted that it would reach all users in a matter of days.
