The folks behind Instagram have just announced the addition of a very important new feature for both its Android and iOS application, multi-account support.

With the new feature, Instagram users will be able to switch between their accounts on Instagram in a quick and comfy manner.

If you don't have more than one Instagram accounts, you can now add as many as you want by heading to your profile settings where you will find a new option that will allow you to create an additional account.

Just make sure you add different photos to your profiles, so you can easily tell which one you're currently using at any given moment.

“Starting this week, you can quickly and easily switch between multiple accounts on Instagram! ?

“Go to your profile settings to add an additional account. From there, tap your username at the top of your profile to switch between accounts.

“Once you have multiple accounts added, you’ll see your profile photo appear in places throughout the app so you can always tell which one you’re using at the moment,” explain developers in a blog post.

Manage or add multiple Instagram accounts

Keep in mind that this feature is only available for Instagram version 7.15 and above, but if you already have the updated application and still can't switch between your accounts, then you will have to wait since this is a change that developers have to do on the server side.

If you don't have the application yet, you can now download Instagram for Android for free via Google Play Store. The application should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 4.0 and up.

For iOS users, the application can be downloaded for free via App Store. It should work smoothly on all devices running iOS 7.0 or later.
