Production of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max is still struggling, with Apple trying to bring the device to customers as fast as possible.

And while getting a new iPhone is still incredibly difficult, even so many months after launch, the company is already planning in advance, making the full preparations for the next-generation iPhone.

Obviously called iPhone 15, the new model is projected to launch in the fall of this year, and now a new report coming from Economic Daily reveals that Apple has just started the initial trial production of the device.

One very important thing to know is that this particular phase has nothing to do with the actual production of the device. With the help of Foxconn, Apple just wants to determine the pre-requisites for the iPhone 15 production, figure out the challenges, as well as polishing the design of the device and providing suppliers with detailed information on aligning with the company’s quality expectations.

In other words, we’re far from the moment the iPhone 15 should enter mass production, as this is typically projected to happen in late July or early August.

Apple is projected to take the wraps off five different iPhone models this year, with the company expected to bring the Dynamic Island to all devices in the series.

The iPhone 15 family will therefore include the iPhone 15, the iPhone 15 Plus, the iPhone 15 Pro, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max. With the Dynamic Island making its way to all iPhones in the lineup, Apple is very likely to increase sales of the standard models as well, as right now, both the base and the Plus are recording only lackluster demand.

The Pro models are the ones spearheading sales, but for now, Apple is struggling with production challenges, especially due to the tensions happening in China.
