US-based company Infocus has just announced the upcoming availability of yet another Android smartphone in India, the M812.

The handset was officially introduced in the country back in July, but Infocus did not share any details on the its availability.

According to a new report, Infocus has confirmed the M812 will be exclusively available in India via Snapdeal retailer on October 1.

Customers will be able to pick this one up for no less than Rs 19,999 ($300 / €270) outright, which is quite high, considering the phone's specs.

It's also worth mentioning that registrations for Infocus M812 sale has already started today, so if you want to buy the smartphone on October 1, then you should definitely register your interest.

As the title says, Infocus M812 is powered by a rather obsolete 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, which is complemented by 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory that can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot.

Not a bad device spec-wise, but slightly overpriced

The good news is the M812 boasts a large 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating.

On the back, there's a 13-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, f/2.2 aperture, Sony Exmor RS sensor, true-tone LED flash, and full HD (1080p) video recording, while on the front, there's a secondary 8-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.

Infocus M812 ships with Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system right out of the box, along with InLife UI on top of it.

Also, it offers both 4G LTE and dual-SIM support, as well as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB and GPS with AGPS connectivity options.

“Today, metal is the ultimate hallmark of premium quality and enviable looks. Keeping this benchmark in mind, we have created the InFocus M812 as the most covetable epitome of design and performance.”

“For the style-conscious Android lovers, we believe this flagship smartphone will become a symbol of exquisite aesthetics and an extension of their personality,” said Sachin Thapar, Country Head, InFocus India.
