Bounty Battle, the indie brawler developed by the French studio Dark Screen Games, is coming sooner than we expected. After a short delay, publisher Merge Games revealed that Bounty Battle is coming to consoles and PC on September 10.

The 1-4 player beat-em-up with characters from all over the indie scene will be available on PC (via Steam), PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. The game costs £19.99 $ / €24.99 / $24.99 on consoles and £15.99 / €19.99 / $19.99 on PC. However, consoles will see a 20 percent pre-order and lunch discount, while the Steam version will see a 15% discount at launch.

In Bounty Battle, you play as your favorite character from beloved indie games. There are a plethora of characters to choose from and all of them are recognizable from indie gems like Guacamelee!, Darkest Dungeon, Dead Cells, Awesomenauts, Nuclear Throne, Owlboy, Axiom Verge, SteamWorld Dig, Oddmar, Jotun, Battle Chasers Nightwar, Death's Gambit, EITR, Super Comboman, Pankapu, Flinthook, Doko Roko, Tower of Samsara, Blubber Busters, Ruin of the Reckless, The Bug Butcher, and Blocks that Matter.

The new 2D fighter lets players pit their heroes against one another. For your information, Bounty Battle features 30 fighters from over 20 different indie games. More importantly, fighters come with their own Minion companion and unique abilities. But heroes are not the only things that Bounty Battle has borrowed from these indie games. Just about all have been inspired by the fighters’ native game worlds.

Bounty Battle features a host of game modes including a Tournament, Versus, Challenge Mode, Tutorial and Training Room to perfect your style. Also, there are 16 different arenas to battle on and multiple color and palette swap options to fight in style.

We're still about a month away from the game's release, but PC players can already pre-order or wishlist Bounty Battle on Steam.
