Two legs were thought to be enough, not anymore

The American weight issue led to a large number of funny DIY inventions of personal transportation for tight spaces, which easily turned into the laughing stock of the Internet.

Although the Segway invention didn't do much to alleviate the overweight issue in America, it quickly went out of style for its sheer impracticality and weight. However, this didn't stop a savvy inventor from trying his hand at making things even more ridiculous while keeping body motion just as minimal as before.

Meet Izzy Swan and his drill-powered mechanical centaur. If you ever worried that your power wheelchair or any electrical moving device was consuming too much power, how about trying a 20V Dewalt drill and two extra mechanical rear legs that will draw the attention of any nearby horses?

After having tested a homemade gearbox together with the same low-powered drill, Swan came up with a working design that will have the two rear legs push your immobile precious body forward at your average walking speed.

Swan keeps his project on a daily update on Facebook, and he has even managed to give in some details about his walking machine. Apparently, he estimates that the battery can last for a mile, and the device can move faster with smaller persons on it (sorry, big people, power-chairs stay), but it can hold around 370 lbs (167kg).

In the video below, you can watch his walking monstrosity in action, and remember, if you have only two legs, why bother using them? Wheels or another pair of mechanical legs are so much better.
