If you need a list with the best shows on TV, you'd better check this one

The Emmy Awards are literally the gold standard in television. They are given every year for to the American television industry and the TV Shows that are getting their hands on a statuette are the ones that will make history. The Apple editors chose to highlight this year's nominees on a special page dedicated to the event that is scheduled for August 25th, 2014.
 
The new selection has six different categories related to Drama, Comedy, Reality TV, Nonfiction, Animation and Children's' TV and most of the shows listed here are simply amazing. 
 
The Drama Category's lead TV Show is Breaking Bad. You can get the final season for $22.99 (€17.16) and receive 16 episodes and 17 short clips with commentaries, interviews and behind the scenes footage. 
 
Downton Abbey, Mad Men, Homeland or Sherlock made it on the same list. 
 
Go to the Comedy TV Shows category and discover some of the best on American TV right now. The Big Bang Theory Season 7, for example can be purchased from iTunes for $44.99 (€33.59). You get 24 episodes and nine short videos with commentaries, gag reel,, behind the scenes footage and interviews with the producers, cast and the creators. 
 
If you want to get away from the fictional characters you can pick up a copy of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart or the Colbert Report. Both Comedy Central talk shows can be yours for $9.99 (€7.46) for six episodes. Another great one is Saturday Night Live Season Sketches. 25 episodes are $29.99 (€22.39) in HD and five bucks less for the SD version.
 
The Reality TV Nominees category is opened by Top Chef, but the list has shows about Life in Alaska, fashion life, nature shows and big titles like "The Amazing Race" and "Shark Tank".
 
The Nonfiction shows are some of the best out there. Discovery's Mythbusters is a veteran in that category with 15 seasons under his belt. Anthony Bourdain's eccentric cooking and travel show made the list as well as Morgan Freeman's Through the Wormhole. 
 
If you like animation, whether you are a kid or not, you will love the selection in the Animation category. South Park is on the forefront and Futurama and Adventure Time made it on the list. You can also find classics like Disney's Mickey Mouse.
