14 DAY TRIAL // Earlier this year, TelaDoc Medical Services and Healthagen teamed up to launch iTriage, an iPhone app that provides physician or consumer-directed cross coverage 24/7 delivered by primary care doctors who diagnose medical problems and, when appropriate, prescribe medication. Now, Healthagen has introduced a new, enhanced version of its software.
According to the official Healthagen report, changes in iTriage include:
- iPhone 3.0 OS updates; - zip code and GPS search capabilities; - enhanced navigation and user interface; - distances to facilities; - integrated mapping within the application; - landscape view; - more diseases and symptoms; - a “Tell a friend” feature to share iTriage information with your contacts; - further integration with HealthGrades quality information for purchasing reports, reviewing physicians, and accessing provider profiles within the app.
iTriage can connect users to a nurse- or physician-advice line and, in a few minutes, they can be talking to a physician and many times have a prescription called into their local pharmacy, facilitating the treatment of many simple and common disorders, according to Healthagen. The app basically empowers consumers to make better healthcare decisions.
