Affordable monitors and TV sets

The research and analysis company iSuppli has published a report whose conclusions might thrill potential buyers of a TV set or monitor based on LCD technology.

According to the data centralized by iSuppli from large LCD manufacturers, the offer will exceed the demand by 5%, which means that the price per unit will decrease.

This trend will continue until the end of the year, when iSuppli forecasts that the offer will be 6% higher than the demand.

Currently, the LCD shipments are exceeding sales, which has forced many producers to increase the prices, especially on the 19 inch and some of the 20 inch models.

For the winter holiday, the prices are expected to decrease even more, therefore, this would be a good time to acquire such a monitor.

iSuppli warned that in 2006, the LCD production will exceed the demand, which means that the prices could increase even more. Even though at the end of 2006, the demand and the offer might be equal, iSuppli warned that factors like the increase of energy costs and the slow economic growth might lead to a significant decrease in demand.
