There's an iPod everywhere

It all started back in 2001, when the world was to be dazzled with what an MP3 player could really do. That first iPod had kids and soon we were embracing the second and third generation of the beloved player.

Apple diversified the offer so much last year that we can now chose between the plain 4th generation iPod, the iPod Mini, the stylish black U2 iPod, the iPod Photo and only a few weeks ago, the world witnessed the launch of the new Flash memory iPod Shuffle.

Well, what next? A good guess would be another iPod generation, the fifth? That's the idea, according to ThinkSecret, the guys who are being sued for letting the public know way too early about Apple's secret Mac Mini and Shuffle plans.

The new kid on the block could be wearing a nice silver aluminum jacket to match the PowerBooks and PowerMacs that Apple already has to offer. Toshiba already let everybody know that its newest mini hard-drives, 80 gigs of space to fill up, were a very interesting item for the iPod's future plans. The iPod mini could have a bigger drive too, 5 Gb instead of four, which could be Apple's answer to Creative's Zen Micro. And a new set of colorful cases are on the way for the Mini as well, starting February.
