The three lucky winners

About a week and a half ago, we announced that Softpedia and Sega were giving away an 8GB Alpha Protocol-skinned iPod touch and a couple of original DVDs of the game to three lucky guys that would leave the most impressive and funny comment on our review page of the game. Now, it's time to make good on our promise and give you the winners.

As days passed by, comments started popping up and, to our surprise, the decision we had to take as to who would win the big prize became increasingly difficult because all the comments that we received were very good. We would like to thank everyone that took the time to give us some laughing material.

Although mostly all the comments were from those that had already played the game, it's nice to see that even a mother took the time to read our review and give us a straight comment on how the name Michael Thorton entered her life. We have no idea how old her son is, but she should know one of the in-game female characters, Sie, is going to get really “friendly” with Michael.

It's great to see that everyone used their sense of humor when describing their personal in-game experience, the ones with Michael Thorton not touching the ground because Sega didn't want him to feel inferior to the likes of Jonathan Snake or the one with the “ooooookay” Michael really made our day. What's funnier is that you guys actually made some of the comments sound like small walkthroughs on how you can defeat the bosses. Hopefully, we'll get some followups on these as well.

Finally, after putting all of our heads together, here are the winners:

The two DVD cases with the game will go to Michael Leung and Gaurav Rajasekar, for taking the time to write some really good and thorough comments.

The big prize, the Alpha Protocol-skinned iPod touch, goes to Chris Creamer. Even though you didn't get a copy of the game for your kid, I'm sure the iPod will do just fine. Still, don't forget to buy him the game once his grades improve.

All of the above contestants have been contacted and their address forwarded to Sega so that they can receive their prizes as soon as possible. It's great that we had the chance to reach into your lives and make a difference.

On behalf of the Softpedia team, we would like to thank everyone that participated in our small event and we're sorry we didn't have enough prizes to go around for everybody that posted a comment. Hopefully, many more will come.
