A French fellow going by the screen name of Dea-loC has come up with a wicked theme for the iPhone. Symbolically dubbed iPhoneOSX, the theme blends Mac OS X Leopard particularities with the iPhone OS to look like something designed in Cupertino, California.
"This is my preview of my futur [sic] theme: iPhoneOSX,” says Dea-loC. “I'm working harder, it will be release [sic] soon,” the French artist writes over at the Modmyi forums. “If the theme is popular in this web site, I can make an english [sic] version after[wards],” Dea-loC told fellow forum users who were ecstatic at the sight of the renderings. And so are we! Not as much because iPhone owners are getting a sweet theme that makes you drool, but because this looks like the perfect user interface for a Mac tablet / netbook.
Apple has been long rumored to be working on a device that combines the iPhone with the MacBook, for what the Apple fanbase and analysts alike call the “MacBook Touch.”

Analysis: MacBook Touch by 2010
However, the Mac maker is known to refuse entering a market where a low price is of the essence. This, coupled with the company's love for innovation, will almost certainly give birth to a device that imitates none of the currently available solutions out there. If this happens, Apple will undoubtedly need a new MacBook Touch-ready version of the Mac OS, and we'd say Dea-loC's theme is the closest thing to that OS' interface. All the elements are there – big icons for the most important stuff, smaller icons in stacks, a menubar, translucent previews of the folders' contents, etc. Naturally, there would be more icons and options displayed on the screen of a MacBook Touch.

Dea-loC, keep up the good work and, yes, an English version is definitely in order if you want your theme to get all the attention it deserves!
