The best way to reconnect with old friends

As its designer says it: "Life is random". Funny as it sounds, it may happen soon enough and if you don't want to believe me, let's go back for a history class and just take a look at Apple's market policy regarding the iPod.

If at first the device came in a single-form factor, very soon, the guys from Apple decided the time has come to bring to the people different and possibly more appealing designs.

This way, the Mini, the Nano and the Shuffle appeared to take over the MP3 players market side by side with their older brother which sported the classic design Apple had in mind when they launched the insanely overpriced iPod, that as people said, was just an MP3 player.

Yes, it was just that but despite its price, the device had a huge success and Apple barely kept up with the orders. And, yes, the iPod was so successful not only to it being so good looking but also to its four different form factors that made it so captivating to a larger number of people worldwide.

If Apple intends to follow the same course of action there will not be a surprise if we will see the iPhone get revamped and shrunken down in size just to make it more attractive for a lot more individuals.

Be aware though, the version of the iPhone pictured in the attached photo is just a concept so Apple fans out there, don't get all excited about it because the iPhone might never get to look like this. But the idea is very nice and as its designer says: this "takes all the complexity out of mobile communications. With the push of a button the iPhone Shuffle randomly selects a contact from your address book and dials."

A very interesting concept, probably also easy for Apple to get it in on the production line, but still a concept anyway.

One more word: if this device gets its feet down and steps on the store shelves some time in the future, be sure you erase the numbers of all the past loves because your "better half" could give them a call anytime and I suppose the results won't be as nice as the iPhone Shuffle might get to be :).
