OverMyMinutes.com announced recently a new solution meant to offer iPhone users the possibility to easily monitor the usage of minutes and texts on their handsets, the Overmyminutes.com Alerter. According to the company, the new solution is released as a mobile compliment to its free tracking service website, OverMyMinutes.com, and can be already downloaded via the Apple iTunes App store.

Moreover, the company notes that the new application is compatible with all iPhone 3G models, and that it also supports the upcoming 4G OLED models. The newly launched iPhone application is based on the same features of monitoring minute usage, and also comes with the text message monitoring for AT&T iPhone accounts.

The new OverMyMinutes.com Alerter is an application that comes to the market as a response for the increasing popularity of website's minute-tracking features, and is also the result of an increasing demand for mobile applications. The app is available for free for iPhone users, and is meant to report minute and text message usage on a proactive basis directly on the handset.

The app works by providing users with daily emails about the number of minutes and texts left on their plan, thus giving users additional control over their usage. There is also the option to receive alerts as minutes and texts dip below preset limits of the user's choice. The reports and alerts can be delivered by email or straight to the via via free incoming text messages. These interactive features reduce the likelihood that users will exceed their minutes or text messages and need to pay higher rates,” the company also notes.

OverMyMinutes.com, many of you might already know, offers a free proactive monitoring of usage of cell phone minutes, and is compatible with all major US carriers, including Cingular/AT&T, Sprint, Verizon and T-Mobile. Moreover, the company says that it is working on including additional features into the equation, including support for Google's Nexus One and Android platforms, birthday and news alerts, and more.
